Who We Are

We are an integrated monastic community of singles, families, and religious sisters committed to a shared life of prayer and service. We live under a modified Benedictine rule and operate under the authority of the Communion of Corpus Christi. We are sacramental and liturgical in our worship, evangelical in our teaching and preaching of Holy Scripture, charismatic in our openness to the moving of the Holy Spirit, and ecumenical in our life and service. As members of the Life in Jesus Community, we rejoice at the privilege of dedicating our lives entirely to our Lord Jesus Christ for love of Him.

As an integrated monastic community, we have fully dedicated our lives to the worship and service of the Triune God. Through our vows, we have consecrated ourselves completely to God and to His work.

We are dedicated to serving others and to providing an environment where we, and others, can worship the Lord, pray, reflect, and hear the still small voice of God in order to learn, grow, find direction, and be healed in spirit, soul, and body. The community outreach includes teaching retreats, a healing ministry, opportunities for personal retreats, and ecumenical work.

We share our lives together on a daily basis in households. Where the family and godly relationships are under attack, our community feels called to live a life of openness and honesty in depth of relationship with one another. Our prayer is that God will grant us a brotherhood and increase all our ranks. We believe we are called to live in community in order to grow into deeper union with Christ as we share our strengths and call on the strengths of our brothers and sisters in our areas of weakness, that together in our love and unity in Christ, we might be more effective witnesses and ministers to this broken world (I Cor.12:12-13:13, Rom.12:3-21, Eph. 4:1-16, John 15:12-14).
